I have just discovered the blogger app on my phone... Awesome! This is my view right now, as Declan crawls around me- pulling kleenex from the box (I let him), picking fingers in unlit candle jars, playing with my toy Miata cars. Just recently, this week actually, I did a social media fast for three day. This past Sunday Josh took Elizabeth to her first Fireside (talk) at Church. They learned all about how their bodies are Temples and how social media at times can really spread messages of the need to be perfect and to have the perfect image. 40% of people photoshop their facebook profile images. The two girls who spoke are on a campaign to get their message out there. Their message is that we are all beautiful and how to feel good about your body.     Asher is 8 years old today!!! Happy Birthday, Buddy! He is getting baptized this Saturday and he is SO excited! He was asked to give a talk last Sunday and while I was helping him write it, I added "I am excited!" He corrected me and said "No, I am SO excited" and quickly grabbed the pen and added the emphasis. Asher loves art, basketball, laughing, hanging out with friends, going to school. He just started reading the Harry Potter series this summer, inspired by one of his friends and he's already on the third book (although I think he is skimming some pages in order to keep up with Ethan who is also reading it). His best friends are Aiden and Zack. He loves baby Declan and likes to make him smile. For his birthday, he asked for minecraft on the computer (we have it on the phone) and a remote control anything. We love you, Asher! Friday We're in Love  a blog on dating (your husband!) If you know me, you know that I love reading blogs. When they first became popular in 2006- or at least when I discovered them- I loved them! I loved finding one, reading about that person's life, views and history. I felt like I had a connection with them on a person basis. More often than not, the blogs that  I follow are Mormon Mommy bloggers like NieNie , CJane , NattheFatRat , 71toes . But, I also like cooking and crafting ones like Elise Blaha: Enjoy it, Oh Happy Day !, six sisters , pioneerwoman , etc. I've noticed that everyone has a different taste in bloggers. It's a personal thing. Often, if someone is dealing with infertility or going through a very strong trial, I connected with them a lot more. I have had hard trials in my life and when I realized that someone else out there has had them too- and worse- it gave me comfort. Josh may not like that I have posted his picture, but I love this guy!! I feel badly that I have not been blogging much lately. It's not like blogging is a kind of competition, or anything (really!), but I LIKE blogging. I really like blogging. And problems with my camera+ moving+ an older home with lots of issues= me not blogging much. And other various ventures (all good btw!) mean that I won't be blogging much until two more weeks. I started blogging one warm October day in 2006. I didn't even remember that it's been that long! It's almost been four years! Crazy, huh? I should do an anniversary post on the 16th of October! So far, I have 400+ posts to my blog. Sorry I didn't do anything when it hit the big 4-0-0. I guess just everyday blogging gets you to this post. I wanted to write a little about my new blog: warm milk and ripe bananas. Basically it is a missionary tool that I want to use to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others. Since the readers of Pink Panda are mostly my friends and family and are mostly lds, I wanted to do a blog that talks about the joy that I find through the Gospel. As I do this, I hope to bring others unto Christ. So, I will be posting there whenever I feel so inclined. Feel free to add it to your blog list. I also own the domain www.pnkpanda.com, but don't know what I want to do with it exactly.
