Jonah and Taylen Visit!

Image
Jonah and Taylen visited last week so they could do some wedding prep. It was so great to spend time with them and get to know them better! Also, Rosie played outside a lot and Declan had an orchestra concert. It was a lot of fun!

Engaged!

Jonah is engaged! He proposed to Taylen Archibald on the shores on Utah lake on Thursday evening. He was nervous for the few days before hand but it all went really well. Her Parents flew out from Gilbert to be there for the event and take pictures. So glad her Mom could send us pictures right away.  We are super excited for them and for them to start a new life together. We're excited to have Taylen as a daughter in law and are thrilled for this whole new adventure for them! They are getting married in the Gilbert Temple in August. Congrats, you two!! We are all smiles over here!

Fall Update

I haven’t blogged in here for awhile. But, now I’m back! Hopefully you are all still with me.  Life has been busy! I’ll just briefly hit the highlights and then move on from there! Elizabeth turned 23! Hooray! Ethan came home from selling pest control and started working at In n Out. He and Jonah left together for BYU Provo in August and are rooming together. They are having the best time! We sure miss them though.  Asher had three areas and four new companions and hit his one year mark in September! He’s doing awesome! School started and with is Declan started 6th grade and Rosie started Kindergarten half day in a Montessori program. They both love school and say those exact words “I love school!” What a blessing to have found a great fit for these kiddos. Josh continues to work and take a few classes each semester for his PhD program in Complex Adaptive Systems. He absolutely loves school too! I have been staying home- cleaning the house, exercising, resting and reading. It’...

Jonah is home!!!

On a Saturday afternoon around noon, Jonah flew home from his two year mission to New York City. We were cutting it short and I felt like we were going to miss him off the plane. We waited about 5 min until Josh said “I think I see him!” I was shaky and hadn’t slept for most of the night and we had rushed to make it there in time. I wanted to run away really. Then, I saw a smiling, blonde kid running up to us and gave him a hug! It was so good and unreal to see him! Josh gave him a big hug and Jonah started crying. Everyone gave him a hug and it was so good to see him! He looked skinny and well. We took pictures and then headed home.  I love the picture of us hanging out on the couch, snacking and looking at his mission pictures. Later they went to Walmart for supplies and our car ignition shaft broke. Glad it didn’t happen at the airport and just look at that sunset that we might have missed if our van had started just fine. We are so glad to have Elder Abbott home! Now to get the...
