Blueberry Picking/ Slide Riding

I decided to take the kids blueberry picking this morning. Josh was gone helping someone move and it sounded like a good idea at the time. Until I got lost. I had the directions written down but could not find the turn off street to save my life. We drove around in dense forest while the kids lamented things like "are we lost?". Yes, yes we are. I had to reply. Finally, I promised them that Dad would help us find it when he got home. He got home and we dragged him along with us. We got there with the help of the address plugged into my gps (my gps wouldn't recognize the name of the place). Then we saw asign "blueberry picking closed sat and sun. No ripe berries." So sad. We saw another sign that said "slides this way" so we bought a snack and headed to some huge, fun slides. The kids had a lot of fun- probably as much as they would have blueberry picking. Next year we are going to go sooner! This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

Cherry Blossoms

We went to see the Cherry Blossoms down in D.C. on the 4th. It's becoming a tradition now in our family. They were gorgeous and a good time was had by all. Asher in the stroller. He was wearing batman jammies that day too. Elizabeth forgot her coat and had to wear one of our friend's jackets. This was us trying to take a family picture. I guess Elizabeth, Jonah and Asher weren't into it. This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

Josh and the kids by a boat in the Inner Harbor. Me, Elizabeth and Jonah The flag Saturday we went down to Baltimore, Maryland. It was fun seeing new places and doing new things! After a stop at the Inner Harbor, we went to Fort McHenry and toured the site where the British invaded in 1812. This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

Funny Kid Sayings

Image
Jonah said something really funny the other day. I was handing out pieces of Halloween candy (it's almost gone thankfully!) and then teaching the kids what each type of candy was called *you would think that they would know that when they were born!*. I told Jonah that his piece of candy was a "Baby Ruth" (why I was giving him "the good" candy- I don't know!) and he said "It's only for babies?" At first I didn't understand. "No, it's for kids." "It's for Babies?" No, it's a Baby Ruth... Oh- a Baby Ruth! No, Jonah, it's not for babies, it's just called Baby Ruth. I'm taking the kids to Chuck E Cheese today. Wish me luck! Hopefully they won't run too crazy and wild and hopefully there are no sick kids that will get my kids sick, or wild kids that will beat up on my kids, since they are so innocent themselves- you know! Maybe I'll post pictures on Friday. Maybe not. Who knows...
