Abbott Family Cruise, part 2

Image
Catalina and Ensañada were amazing! Such perfect weather. At Catalina we went on a small hike up a small mountain to botanical garden. We didn’t go in- everything was so botanical around us already. We stopped for fish and chips on afterwards and then da along the beach with our toes in the sand. The beach is my happy place!  In Ensañada, I got roped into buying a brightly colored bag right away along with a few other trinkets. We wanted to get some pesos so we asked around and then stepped into a circle K and got some. I practiced my Spanish and the lady there asked me if I was Mexicana. So sweet! It made my day.  We had fish tacos, which was my goal, although we ended paying more for them than we wanted. Josh got some street churros and those were definitely on point! We walked around with our family and popped into a few shops to do some more souvenir shopping and then headed back to the ship. It was a neat day trip all around. We ended the day with a three course sit down ...

Family Pictures, Summer 2013

At our Abbott Family Reunion, each family had their pictures taken and we also took one of the whole group (minus those who will be photoshopped in later!). It was fun taking pictures and I  think they turned out really good! If you want a copy of any of these, you can right click on these pics, save them to your computer and print them out. You know, if you want to do that for some reason or another.  " The Boys" - Ethan and Jonah (in tie dye)  Ethan  Jonah  Elizabeth  More Elizabeth Asher  My Favorite One of All of Us!  Grandparents and Grandkids!!  Parents, Kids + Spouses Thank you, Thank you to Looky Loo Photography for such wonderful pictures! California Vacation- Part 2 Abbott Reunion!

Image
After visiting with my family, we headed up to Paso Robles, CA, where Josh's Parents and 2 sisters live for an Abbott family reunion. Everyone was able to be there except Josh's youngest brother Ben and his wife Barbara, whom we missed greatly! There were around 54 people there. Quite a crowd! But a fun crowd at that!  The First day we met at a park for dinner and took family pictures (those are to come). The second day we went to Star Farms- a local lake complete with a sandy beaches, kayaks, a platform to dive off of, an in-ground trampoline, picnic tables, a big bbq, hammocks and big palmy umbrellas. We spent almost the whole day there and it was a great place for our whole family to be. It felt like Heaven- having everyone together, warm weather, good food and fun activities to do!   Josh kayaking with Asher  Braden! Check out those palm trees!  Little Brian, who lives in Hawaii and we hadn't met before. So cute!  Eli...
