California Vacation- Part 2 Abbott Reunion!

After visiting with my family, we headed up to Paso Robles, CA, where Josh's Parents and 2 sisters live for an Abbott family reunion. Everyone was able to be there except Josh's youngest brother Ben and his wife Barbara, whom we missed greatly! There were around 54 people there. Quite a crowd! But a fun crowd at that!

The First day we met at a park for dinner and took family pictures (those are to come).
The second day we went to Star Farms- a local lake complete with a sandy beaches, kayaks, a platform to dive off of, an in-ground trampoline, picnic tables, a big bbq, hammocks and big palmy umbrellas. We spent almost the whole day there and it was a great place for our whole family to be. It felt like Heaven- having everyone together, warm weather, good food and fun activities to do!

Braden! Check out those palm trees!
Little Brian, who lives in Hawaii and we hadn't met before. So cute!

3rd Day- we drove up to Morro Bay and Hearst Beach. We stopped by the Shell Shop in MB and the kids got a souvenir if they wanted. We met everyone at Hearst Beach, had a sack lunch and played, played and played. So fun!

Chloe and Brian- sandy and a little unhappy

Tyler and Anna at the California Culinary Institute where we made pizzas, cookies and decorated cakes and watched a movie while they baked. Great idea!

Hannah, Braden, Allison learning how to decorate cakes

The Fourth day, we hung out at home and then went to the Melodrama down in Oceano for dinner and a theater show. The adults and big kids went and we got babysitters for all the younger kids. It was really fun!

What a GREAT family reunion! Thanks, Mom, for organizing it and for all the hard work you put into it and Kristen and Hilary (our hosts) too!!
