Two Weddings: Alec & Jane, Paul & Maddy

At the end of May, we made the drive up to Utah and stayed at David and Amber's new house in Lehi. It was so good to see them! We got to be at our nephew Alec and Jane's wedding up near Stuart Falls. It was beautiful and chilly and it was such a sweet ceremony. After these ceremony and a quick luncheon, we drove back to Provo to visit Ethan and Jonah at their apartment. Jonah gave Declan a ride on his motorcycle and we had Panda Express. We made a quick pit stop to the new creamery at BYU for some ice cream and then headed back to Lehi. A storm blew in that evening and Rosie and Declan and I stayed home from their reception while Josh went.

The next morning we drove to the Draper Temple to attend Paul and Maddy's sealing. It was so sweet and neat and great to see everyone. They had a luncheon and reception in Provo and an awesome dance party at the end! Rosie caught the bouquet which was pretty special! Way to start your life, Alec and Jane and Paul and Maddy! We love you!!

Baby Name Woes

Maximilliano? Declan? Antony? I am thrilled to be on the hunt for a baby boy name but for the life of us, we cannot settle on just one name. We are at a loss for a good, strong, meaningful baby boy name. Let me emphasize WE- I have quite a few that I really like (Brigham, Ephraim, Bennett, James) and would use in a heartbeat. Josh, on the other hand, hasn't been able to persuaded in any direction.  And this is a team process. Me and Him.  With Elizabeth, we went through just a handful of names, and when I said "Elizabeth"- my Grandmother's name- we both agreed and felt that it was to be HER name. In fact, when we found out it was a girl, we called people and told them "We are having an Elizabeth!" It has been a perfect name for her (Elizabeth Renee- Renee after her Grandmother on Josh's side) and fits her perfectly (don't all babies names fit that perfectly after awhile? Well, most of them!) My Depression and the Inauguration '09

I went to see my Psychiatrist, Dr. Joshi, in Baltimore, Mayland today. I mentioned to him that I wanted to stop taking my medication (for personal reasons! You can e-mail me and ask me if you want to!). He replied that that was NOT a good idea. He said that my brain does not make enough seratonin. Lexapro does not give me seratonin, but helps my brain produce it. He said I should be on it for six months (I've been on it for three, so three more to go) and then we can start reducing it then. If I start having a hard time, then I will go back on it for next winter and try to go off of it next summer. Some people have to stay on it all their lives, but I don't feel that I will be one of these people. I want to still have more babies, and you cannot get pregnant on this medication. This seems to be a longer recovery than I originally planned, but I am giving myself until Dec. 2010 to work on this Depression and make more decisions from that point on.
