I’ve found myself depressed lately. Not sure what it is. Maybe it's because I haven't been to the gym in a month. I just signed up today! Hopefully that helps and that I go!
When I found myself questioning the quality of life, I wrote this list of
things that make me happy. I don’t want to live without these things.
Really I don’t.
Poetry (Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, the Dirt Poet, Maya Angelou)
Chocolate (Starbucks Hot Chocolate Packets, Homemade clusters, Sees,
Trader Joe’s Dark chocolate lovers, chocolate Cheesecake Factory
cheesecake, Sheelah’s fudge)
Books (non fiction, historical fiction, book club picks, comedy, autobiographies)
Bacon (BLT’s, Bacon wrapped dates, asparagus, Pasta Ala Carbonara)
Fresh fruit (pineapple, bananas, avocados)
Children (Elizabeth, Ethan, Jonah, Asher, Declan, cousins, friends)
Teaching Piano
Josh (love of my life, biggest supporter & fan, brilliant law director).
My Parents (biggest fans, supporters)
Church (Book of Mormon, Scripture study, Conference talks, Temple)
Music (piano, choral, Jazz, 80’s, 60’s, Mormon Tabernacle Choir)
Going to the Gym
What are the things that make you the happiest? Where is your small slice of Heaven on Earth?
Comments
Cynthia, It does seem like we have the same taste! I recentlyliked Listening Woman by Tony Hillerman if you are in the mood for a light, smart mystery. Talking as Fast as I can by Lauren Graham is also really good, but it has a little language. Others are on my Goodreads account.
