Declan at 9 months old.

***Disclaimer- I am typing this from a computer at the Library- we still have yet to get internet in our new home (quite a long story) and so all of my pictures of Declan at 9 months are still on my phone or other computer. Imagine, if you will, a round headed, bald, toothy baby. That should help!

Declan at 9 Months:

-ABSOLUTELY LOVES Sadie the Dog. So glad we got to keep her! (We're renting and weren't sure if the home we were to live in accepted pets. This one kindly does. A friend was watching her for us and happened to be in Utah for Christmas and dropped her off). Every morning when he wakes, he sees her and squeals and tries to get out of my arms to pet her/pull her whiskers/pull her hair.

When we first got her back, Sadie would see Declan crawling toward her and run away. Now she kindly tolerates him and looks at me with big puppy dog eyes that say "Please be gentle!"

-Crawls very well- all over, pulls himself up, and even cruised across the coffee table yesterday! If I show him something he LOVES- like the push back and go Thomas the train set, his eyes light up BIG and he speed crawls right to it.

-He loves to crawl holding something in his hand- whether it's a puzzle piece, a window decal or even food sometimes. He will try to pick up more food in one hand even though he has something in it already.

-He LOVES eating and can spend up to an hour in his high chair if you keep giving him small pieces of food. His favorites are bread, tortillas, peaches, chicken and anything cookie. He dislikes greek yogurt, green beans, anything cold right out of the fridge and juice (?). Sadie loves everything he drops on the floor and can be found waiting patiently for little treats.

-He is a fussy teether and now has 6 teeth! The last two popped up under my radar.
Since we moved he has gone from sleeping through the night to waking 2-4 times a night. Ugh. After much, much thought, a little Advil, a space heater and an extra blanket he slept a solid 8 hours last night! (yay! Even though it was 8-4).

-Declan LOVES baths and will try to dive head first in when the water goes on. He always looks up at me with a huge grin when I plop him in. He did find the toilet the other day and was so upset when I pulled him away (good thing it was clean).

And that's Declan at 9 months. We love him so much!

Update on the house: Mostly set up and working on the little things.

Update on the headache: Was better and then got worse. Ice packs are my friends.

Update on the job: New contacts are being made daily- which is always a good thing.

Prayers for both! (Google Year in Review is below.)
