First Day of School!! 2013

Asher, Jonah, Ethan and Elizabeth

The Kids are off to School! Yay!! It's always a bittersweet experience. Sad to see them go and grow up so fast. Glad that they are growing and learning and I can have some time to myself. Here are the pics from this morning! It went pretty smoothly, except Asher wanted a black pencil box instead of the clear one I had gotten him and Ethan seemed to need a desk organizer right away!

Elizabeth has Mrs. Hall, who was her top pick, Ethan has a new teacher, Jonah has Mrs. Bretzke- who we love from last year and Asher has Mrs. Rissi (who had to get a sub half day today and tomorrow to attend her Gma's funeral).

I asked each one of them what they were excited about going back to school.


Elizabeth: "The Talent Show"



Ethan: "The Fields Trips! Do we go on one this month?"


 Jonah: "I don't know!"



 Asher: "I don't know"

They are excited to get a start on the new year! Yay for new memories, new friends, learning new things and good times!

My Depression and the Inauguration '09

I went to see my Psychiatrist, Dr. Joshi, in Baltimore, Mayland today. I mentioned to him that I wanted to stop taking my medication (for personal reasons! You can e-mail me and ask me if you want to!). He replied that that was NOT a good idea. He said that my brain does not make enough seratonin. Lexapro does not give me seratonin, but helps my brain produce it. He said I should be on it for six months (I've been on it for three, so three more to go) and then we can start reducing it then. If I start having a hard time, then I will go back on it for next winter and try to go off of it next summer. Some people have to stay on it all their lives, but I don't feel that I will be one of these people. I want to still have more babies, and you cannot get pregnant on this medication. This seems to be a longer recovery than I originally planned, but I am giving myself until Dec. 2010 to work on this Depression and make more decisions from that point on. Baby Name Woes

Maximilliano? Declan? Antony? I am thrilled to be on the hunt for a baby boy name but for the life of us, we cannot settle on just one name. We are at a loss for a good, strong, meaningful baby boy name. Let me emphasize WE- I have quite a few that I really like (Brigham, Ephraim, Bennett, James) and would use in a heartbeat. Josh, on the other hand, hasn't been able to persuaded in any direction.  And this is a team process. Me and Him.  With Elizabeth, we went through just a handful of names, and when I said "Elizabeth"- my Grandmother's name- we both agreed and felt that it was to be HER name. In fact, when we found out it was a girl, we called people and told them "We are having an Elizabeth!" It has been a perfect name for her (Elizabeth Renee- Renee after her Grandmother on Josh's side) and fits her perfectly (don't all babies names fit that perfectly after awhile? Well, most of them!) Angels Among Us

My sister sent this to me and it touched my heart! I had an interesting experience the other day. I was meditating early in the morning. As I was meditating, I had a thought that I should ask, in prayer, who was with me. I did and the answer came "Rose, Robert and Abigail." These are the three babies that I lost from a miscarriage. I didn't see them with my physical eyes, but I felt their presence- sitting on the edge of our guest room bed, as young adults. They were happy, and pure. I felt that they loved me and they are watching over me. I want you to know that I believe in angels. I have had several experiences with angels when I was younger. I know that God sends us small little signs- a butterfly on your shoulder, a big bright moon, a gorgeous sunset, a fun mazda miata- to show us that He loves us and that we are deeply cared about.
