Ethan and Jonah Update!

Ethan and Jonah are doing so well! Ethan got transferred to the BYU Idaho campus in Rexburg, Idaho. There are two sets of missionaries working there and they ride scooters! He is excited to serve among so many people his age and is trying to decide if he should go there one day! He’s currently serving as Zone Leader so these next few transfers will be busy ones for him! We are so proud of him and love him a ton! Jonah is still serving in Woodside Queens now as a district leader. His companion Elder Toolbooth is from Guatemala which is Jonah’s favorite country so how awesome is that! He loves being in New York and while he wanted to get transferred, he’s excited to serve! We love you, Elder Abbott, you are doing an amazing job!

Weepy

our neighbors from China, celebrating the New Year I've been really weepy lately. I don't know what it is. It's probably the fact that pregnancy hormones still stick around for 3 months after the fact. I didn't notice it much last time. February 19th- I'll be so happy to meet you. Yesterday, while subbing, I teared up twice. In the school. In public! Once during story time. The story included a little girl who wanted to be a famous woman each day and one day she wanted to be her Mother. I love being a Mother. The other time was when one of my little 3rd graders with autism left school early. I escorted him to the front door and his Mom greeted him with a huge hug and a "Hey, Buddy!" and they left with his arm over her shoulders. Sigh. I'm so glad he has someone who loves him at home and will take care of him when he leaves us. I'm sure she feels the same way. Later, I even teared up- ok, cried- when I read someone's blog post wishing her hubby...

Holy Week

This week has been one of wonder and amazement for me. I usually celebrate the Holy week of Easter by remembering what took place each day of the week. This week has been extra special for me. I'm not sure why- maybe it's because we are studying Easter for Come Follow Me for Church or because I have two missionaries out serving who are sacrificing their time and talents to serving the Lord full time and I know what a sacrifice it is for them. They have taken Jesus's name upon their chest and represent Him full time. Or maybe it's because I have another son who is getting ready to serve just like they are- his mission papers just submitted this Tuesday evening. My life seems embedded and imbued with the thought of Jesus Christ and His Love and Sacrifice for me and for us all. It might be too, that my social media accounts- mostly Instagram- has been filled with post after post of Jesus Christ.
