April
The good things that come in April:
-J's birthday- he turns 32 this year! Hooray! I already have gotten him his gift(s) and am way excited to give them to him. Hope he likes them!
-General Conference, The first weekend is always General Conference Weekend for our Church. Around here, we make waffles with strawberries and whip cream and then sit around, munching on snacks, coloring in new coloring books and listening to the Prophet's voice.
It's wonderful. Until the crayons all get spilt and someone has hit someone. Then we send the kids outside and watch in peace. Or more specifically, I send the kids outside, ask Josh to watch them and then watch in peace. Sometimes a nap is taken during which. Sometimes I am crocheting (a blanket I've been working on for 2-3 yrs now. Lately I've been working on crocheting not just during General Conference).
Easter and a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And chocolate bunnies. And peep smores. And new clothes. And cute dresses. And shiny shoes. And hidden baskets. And dyed eggs. And Easter Egg hunts. And pictures to be taken (w/ my new camera!).
April Fools Day- this morning I froze a half a gallon of milk, then tied the kitchen stools together and put saran wrap on the kids toothbrushes. I excitedly awaited the discovery of said shenanigans. Too bad they all slept in, tired from Cherry Blossoming and swimming (which we did later) and were just confused as to why the milk wouldn't come out. April Fools jokes are no fun when you are tired and hungry and grumpy.
Nice Weather- Hear that, Maryland, and nice weather!
I love April! This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.
