Elizabeth did great with her 2nd MRI, which included an IV. I couldn't go back with her since I had the boys. She knew she was getting a shot and although she was teary, she said it hurt for only a second. Later I asked her if they had swabbed her arm with alcohol (since I heard there was a recall on some alcohol swabs and totally forgot to check it when I went). She replied:

"Yeah, they put caffeine on my arm."

Me: "Caffeine?"

Elizabeth: "Yeah, caffeine."

Me: "You mean alcohol?"

Elizabeth: "Oh, yeah, alcohol." She knew it was something she wasn't supposed to have!

Asher, playing the guitar at Elizabeth's piano studio I love how about half my readers are in California so that if I wait until 11 am or 12 pm to post it's only 8 am or 9 am there. Of course that makes it hard when you want to call your Mom at 9 in the morning and it's 6 am there! Oh, well! Also, some people in California have not been posting on their blogs. Holy Week

This week has been one of wonder and amazement for me. I usually celebrate the Holy week of Easter by remembering what took place each day of the week. This week has been extra special for me. I'm not sure why- maybe it's because we are studying Easter for Come Follow Me for Church or because I have two missionaries out serving who are sacrificing their time and talents to serving the Lord full time and I know what a sacrifice it is for them. They have taken Jesus's name upon their chest and represent Him full time. Or maybe it's because I have another son who is getting ready to serve just like they are- his mission papers just submitted this Tuesday evening. My life seems embedded and imbued with the thought of Jesus Christ and His Love and Sacrifice for me and for us all. It might be too, that my social media accounts- mostly Instagram- has been filled with post after post of Jesus Christ. Weepy

our neighbors from China, celebrating the New Year I've been really weepy lately. I don't know what it is. It's probably the fact that pregnancy hormones still stick around for 3 months after the fact. I didn't notice it much last time. February 19th- I'll be so happy to meet you. Yesterday, while subbing, I teared up twice. In the school. In public! Once during story time. The story included a little girl who wanted to be a famous woman each day and one day she wanted to be her Mother. I love being a Mother. The other time was when one of my little 3rd graders with autism left school early. I escorted him to the front door and his Mom greeted him with a huge hug and a "Hey, Buddy!" and they left with his arm over her shoulders. Sigh. I'm so glad he has someone who loves him at home and will take care of him when he leaves us. I'm sure she feels the same way.
