It’s been 10 weeks- or maybe 9- since all the schools and Church and stores and gyms and movies shut down for the Corona Virus. Many have died- more than on 9/11- many more have gotten sick. We’re okay here in Gilbert- land. We’ve been cooped up but we have an adorable 10 week old baby girl who coos and smiles at everyone and sleeps a lot of the time. We have 5 laptops in the house plus a giant tv and several smart phones, so this keeps everyone entertained and occupied. We also have a park right across the street complete with a nice green field that even has sprinklers that come on and you can play in them! The weather has been so great- teaching in the 100’s only this past week. Josh has been working from home and doing Self Coaching Scholars and working on the lawn and holding the baby and it’s been wonderful!
Our cousins came over and planted a garden for us and it’s been wonderful to see it growing and thriving in this COVID craziness! Ethan has taken full control over it- watering it twice and a day and spraying it to kill the bugs.
Declan has had a difficult time with it all- one day going to Kindergarten and being the star of the family and the next staying home all day while his Mom feeds the baby most of the time- but he’s finally adjusting! With the help of piano lessons, some virtual classes online and extra love from everyone! He’s really into Yu-gi-oh and Minecraft!
And that’s it for now! It’s the boys golden birthday today! 16! And we are headed on a trip out of town to play and splash in a natural lake and maybe jump off a rock or two! The baby is sneezing over the baby monitor and will probably wake up soon to eat.
And so, COVID 19 continues. We don’t know how long it will last, but we are thankful for each healthy and happy and growing moment we have and that we get to be together as a a family.
