Elizabeth recently developed a 4 inch by 5 inch cyst on her neck. I had noticed it in March. It didn't bother her, so I didn't get it checked out. When she went to visit family in California this past Summer, they noticed it and requested that she get it check out. We did!

 It turns out it is a cyst- not Cancer- about 4 inches by 5 inches under her left ear. We've been referred to a ENT Specialist so we will wait and see what they say. They may say it will go away on it's own. Or they may say she will need surgery to remove it (along with an attending scar). We'll see what happens! We're praying for her!

This week has been one of wonder and amazement for me. I usually celebrate the Holy week of Easter by remembering what took place each day of the week. This week has been extra special for me. I'm not sure why- maybe it's because we are studying Easter for Come Follow Me for Church or because I have two missionaries out serving who are sacrificing their time and talents to serving the Lord full time and I know what a sacrifice it is for them. They have taken Jesus's name upon their chest and represent Him full time. Or maybe it's because I have another son who is getting ready to serve just like they are- his mission papers just submitted this Tuesday evening. My life seems embedded and imbued with the thought of Jesus Christ and His Love and Sacrifice for me and for us all. Jonah is home!!!

On a Saturday afternoon around noon, Jonah flew home from his two year mission to New York City. We were cutting it short and I felt like we were going to miss him off the plane. We waited about 5 min until Josh said “I think I see him!” I was shaky and hadn’t slept for most of the night and we had rushed to make it there in time. I wanted to run away really. Then, I saw a smiling, blonde kid running up to us and gave him a hug! It was so good and unreal to see him! Josh gave him a big hug and Jonah started crying. Everyone gave him a hug and it was so good to see him! He looked skinny and well. We took pictures and then headed home.  I love the picture of us hanging out on the couch, snacking and looking at his mission pictures. Later they went to Walmart for supplies and our car ignition shaft broke. Glad it didn’t happen at the airport and just look at that sunset that we might have missed if our van had started just fine. Asher, playing the guitar at Elizabeth's piano studio I love how about half my readers are in California so that if I wait until 11 am or 12 pm to post it's only 8 am or 9 am there. Of course that makes it hard when you want to call your Mom at 9 in the morning and it's 6 am there! Oh, well! Also, some people in California have not been posting on their blogs. I won't name any names, Kristen! I don't want my blog to be a woe-is-me blog all the time. But, here I go. We are home again today, missing another field trip- this time for Ethan and Jonah (hopefully I'll get my $ back). Asher was burning up at 6 am when I checked his forehead while he slept and I knew that wasn't good! He woke up with a fever of 100.8- bleh! It was low enough to maybe take him to the babysitters- but 100.8 is still pretty high. Plus, he was clingy and grumpy.
