Jonah
Ethan loves:
-to make crafts. He is often found in our guest bedroom (aka Grandma's Room) cutting, gluing, taping his own craft projects- monsters made out of recycling materials, build-your-own catapult out of popsicle sticks and water bottle caps, etc.
-to read. He is often found reading on the couch and recently finished 2,000 Leagues Under the Sea. He told me the other day that the other kids at school say he is a fast reader. He told them that he is not fast- he just reads a lot! Very true!
-save his money. He works hard at doing extra chores and saves every last penny. Even when he is tempted to buy something he really wants (like a book at the School Book Fair), he won't buy it since he wants to save his hard earned money.
-recently earned his Bear Badge for Scouts, along with his Religious Knot which we worked hard on at home as well as 3 arrow points.
-has a great relationship with Jonah. They are great friends and love to play with friends, go swimming together and chat about school. We often have to tell them no whispering at the dinner table when they want to talk to each other.
-enjoys being a new big brother!
Jonah loves:
-to have friends come over and play. He is the one that is often saying "Mom, can so-and-so come over today?"
-doing well at school. Jonah has had an amazing teacher and an amazing school year this year! He earned a Golden Scholar award this year (for getting one B or less the whole school year). He has really blossomed under this teacher and it's been great!
-also earned his Bear Badge, Religious Knot and 3 arrow points.
-to freeze things in the freezer. I often find cups of water, juice, water bottles in the freezer, waiting for Jonah to grab them and enjoy them outside.
-swimming. He is always up for a swim, even when the water is cold, and is often the last one out. The other day the water was really cold and he just got in and began swimming the length of the pool, back and forth.
-he is also enjoying our new baby and, with encouragement, will hold him carefully.
