Fast Sunday

Playin' in the bubble bath: Jonah and Ethan

Yesterday was something we call Fast Sunday in our Church. It happens every first Sunday of the month and we go without food or water for usually a 24 hr period while praying for something specific. We also donate the money we would have spent on food for that day to the Church to feed the poor with something called a fast offering.

Yesterday I fasted about our job situation. Josh has been out of law school for 4 years now. (Can you believe that 4 years ago he was studying for the bar exam in Provo and that Asher was born? Crazy, I know!) Well, it's about that time in a young lawyer's life where they decided whether they want to try to make partner in another three years (they do it at 7 years at a firm) or consider other career opportunities.

After a beautiful, inspired blessing from Dad Abbott while we were in town, we believe that it may be time for Josh to look for a job in the Government. We know job hunting takes a lot of time and effort and we have already started the process, albeit not very seriously. If you know of anyone who works in the government in downtown D.C. as an attorney, such as the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal Communications Commission, please let us know.

Also, check out this new blog I am absolutely in love with: www.mormonmommyblogs.blogspot.com.

Have a beautifully awesome day! This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.
