The kids have been playing with their cousins this past week and it's been great! Christopher and Jonathan are the oldest- 15 and 13 1/2 respectively, then come Alec and Braden, who are 10. Jacob is around 8 years old, Peter is 6 and Eric is 3 and Luke is 4 months old. They love playing on the big trampoline in the back and watching fun shows on the computer. This is the life! Here I am, writing from Sunny California! Josh's sister, Kristen, kindly invited us to stay with them for a while. After some thought and consideration, we took her up on her offer! They have a big, new house filled with lots of boys and our kids are having a blast playing with their cousins! Sadly, Josh had to stay home and work, but we will join up with him in a little over a week for two family reunions in June. What a busy time! I am enjoying staying in California- who wouldn't?- and hope to keep blogging, although all my pictures are on my home computer. This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

Ethan and Jonah had their first "real" friends party on Saturday. Here's a pic of the group waiting for lunch! Opening the presents! Cake! Cake again! Jonah- 5 years old now! Ethan at 5 years old. So cute! Their party was a blast! We had about five kids show up- not too many and not too few! They played games and even did a pinata. The boys are excited to be 5. They still wear pull-ups at night, but Ethan insisted that since he was 5 he didn't need to. We tried it for two nights and he's stayed dry both times! Yay! This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

So, the boys went to a fun, pediatric dentist yesterday. Elizabeth went to a "normal" one and I felt that he was just not fun enough. The dentist the boys went to was way fun- they got to each pick out new toothbrushes and lots of stickers and even a toy. But is it all worth it? Their visit was about 20 minutes for both of them and they were in and out of there really fast. I haven't decided what is better: a normal dentist, or a fun, pediatric one. What do you guys think? The boys got cards in the mail with coupons from Toys R Us, so we went. Here Ethan is showing off all his goodies. Jonah, being happy The boys went to the dentist for the first time today. So, I am one of two leaders for the Activity Days at our Church. Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, the girls ages 8-12 years of age gather and meet at Church. We do fun activities like crafts, reading, acting scripture stories out, etc. Last night we met and talked about the importance of learning from good books. Then we played a game from the book "365 things to do without tv." They all had a blast. I know I did too! This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

I was truly treated like a queen for Mother's Day! At the boys' school they had a Mother's Day Tea party and we were sent home with cute cards and flowers. Then, Elizabeth made me a necklace and a thoughtful note from school and another note made all by herself- she was just so thoughtful! Later, Josh gave me flowers and chocolates, and of course, breakfast in bed! I love my kids and am grateful to be their Mother!

A while back, Elizabeth got a pink guitar from Grandma. Well, Asher found it and loves it! Check him out, rocking out!

Gratitude: My friend just lost her little one. It makes me reflect and ponder over life. I'm so grateful for: 1.My family: my extended family, the Abbotts who I married into and my own family who are all healthy and doing well. 2. The scenery outside. With all the rain we've been getting everything has turned green and lush. Very pretty. 3. The ability to work out with no pain. 4. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, without which we would not be able to live with our families forever. 5. Jesus Christ who makes all of our fears seem a lot less fearful. This is my blog. I just finished Jim the Boy for our book club. It was awesome!!! It has really gotten me back into the swing of reading- I finished it in four days and yesterday I could do nothing but try and finish it. It's one of those books that lassos you in and won't let you go until you are done. I am still reading The Appeal by John Grisham and Seabiscuit also, so I still have some reading to do. They say copying is the highest form of gratitude. One of my friends did a "did you know?" theme for one of her posts on her blog. I've decided to copy that, so here I go: "Did you know that Ethan and Jonah went to Kindergarten orientation a few weeks ago? Elizabeth's teacher promptly stated that she gets one of them next year. I felt loved and appreciated! Someone wants to teach my kids!! Did you know that Jonah writes his name with two o's Joonah. Hey, close enough, right? Did you know that Asher has sat on the potty many times, with no sucesses yet. I have no huge desires to potty train him...yet! Did you know that Elizabeth did so well in Ballet, that her teacher told me to sign her up for the next higher class, which I didn't do because it's on Saturday and it takes up most of the whole day. Did you know that Josh just got another Anti-trust project to work on. Usually he does communication so this is good. Did you know that Megan is enjoying her...
