This is what we are doing this year. Of course, we just bought a house, so we have little money and it makes this easy to achieve, but I would like to do this every year. Two presents for each child- one from Santa and one from us. That's it. That's all folks.

If you want to splurge next year you could just add a family group gift, something all the kids could play with together. Bigger benefit from smaller bucks, at least in theory.
