Her first day...

Elizabeth's first day was so fun. I think the teacher made it fun and exciting so that the kids would get a positive impression of school. She said that she had made three friends and enjoyed everything she did. One thing that she didn't like was that they have a later lunch- 12:30 pm and we usually eat lunch around 11 am, so it took a little getting used to. She had a great first day! This is my blog. It's Official!

Elizabeth is officially in kindergarten now! She has been very excited to go to school. Last night we lost electrical power and I thought "Oh, no! Not on the first day of school!" My plans of a pancake breakfast and of Elizabeth getting ready happily turned into worries of a stressful start to a potentially stressful day anyway. As I crawled into bed with Elizabeth to comfort her, we talked a little and later she gave me a hug and said "I love you, Mom. I'm excited to go to school." Luckily the power came back on right at 7 am- when they all get up. What a blessing! What more could I have asked for, the night before she was about to leave home for school- all day kindergarten - than such a comforting moment. I knew she loved me and I knew that she was ready to do something new. She's ready! I was not going to cry, but when I saw another Mom in tears over their Kindergartener, I couldn't help it. I'm going to miss this girl! Alre...

The ending of summer...

We are doing well- enjoying the last few days until Summer officially ends. Going swimming, to the park to play, etc. It's not very humid today, so we have to enjoy it while it lasts! This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

Swim lessons, etc.

The kids had a blast doing swim lessons this year. Elizabeth is learning and is ready to move on to the next level. The boys still need to work on putting their heads in the water and improving. This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

This weekend...

This weekend was busy. On Saturday I took Elizabeth shopping for new school clothes. After that we went on a picnic lunch and then to the city fair after that. The boys were all very tired and fell asleep right away. Sunday we relaxed and recovered from the day before. This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

Breaking Dawn...

I, like a lot of other women in the U.S right now, am reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. I just finished it this morning. For those of you who haven't read any of her other books- it's a four book series that an LDS author has written about vampires. I loved the first three and have been waiting for the fourth to come out. As I read it, I was up and down with how I liked it, but I am so glad I read it! This is my blog. My name is Megan Abbott.

Happy 7th Anniversary!

Josh and I have been married seven years today! I love you so much, babe! Happy Anniversary! (pictures to follow!)
