Ethan and Jonah Update!

Image
Ethan and Jonah are doing so well! Ethan got transferred to the BYU Idaho campus in Rexburg, Idaho. There are two sets of missionaries working there and they ride scooters! He is excited to serve among so many people his age and is trying to decide if he should go there one day! He’s currently serving as Zone Leader so these next few transfers will be busy ones for him! We are so proud of him and love him a ton! Jonah is still serving in Woodside Queens now as a district leader. His companion Elder Toolbooth is from Guatemala which is Jonah’s favorite country so how awesome is that! He loves being in New York and while he wanted to get transferred, he’s excited to serve! We love you, Elder Abbott, you are doing an amazing job!

Rosie

Rosie is our little caboose baby! She is fun, spunky, sweet and sassy! She loves baking, playing with bubbles, playing in the pool, running and jumping and wrestling with Declan and her Dad. She is sleeping now and I am looking at pictures of her. I miss her already! Love you, Rosie!

Latest Happenings

Rosie loves to help me in the kitchen. I don’t always love to have her help me since she makes a big mess usually, but cupcakes are usually pretty simple. I have a new goal to run a 10K in February/March. This both terrifies me and makes me excited. Is this what a good goal does because it’s working! I planted a mini rose bush in our mini garden plot (that has a drip system) and it has survived a week of 105 degree weather wonderfully! Target runs always make me happy!! They sell ICEES again now. Don’t tell Rosie! We’ll never eat a normal lunch again. Rosie loves to take selfies with me. Of this J am glad. My niece Hannah got married to Jonathan! Yay! This makes me so happy!

Celebrating our 22nd Anniversary!

Image
We celebrated our 22nd anniversary on the 4th of August. That night we went to a Church adult game party (getting a babysitter since Asher and Elizabeth both work weekends). It was really fun and we played a few games including Poetry for Neanderthals. It was fun! The night day (after finding another babysitter- which is hard to do since there are not a lot of Young Women in the ward), we went to the Temple and did sealings. It was lovely and so nice to be inside the Temple. A neighborhood boy heard that we were going to the Temple and he asked "Can't only Mormons go inside?" We happily explained that we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. After the Temple we then headed to Crazy Koi, a fun ramen restaurant. After walking in the crazy 112 heat even at 6 pm, we went and it was packed- with blaring music. Not what I pictured for a romantic date night. We walked around a little, looking for a place, but they were all crowded and had a 30 minute wai...

Ethan has been on his mission to Idaho Falls for 365 days! He has had some amazing experiences and sure has grown into a stronger and more faithful servant of the Lord. We love him and we love the work that he is involved in!

First Day of School! 2023

Image
The kids went back to school last week. Asher is a Senior and Declan is in 4th grade! They go back to school early so they can have two weeks of Spring and Fall Break. It’s pretty nice! Then Asher had a Church activity where they went to the lake. He spent seven hours in school, can home and then spent five hours at te lake. Pretty busy! Asher is pretty busy in general! Here is Rosie going to the dentist- she had no cavities and did really well!
