Happy 49th Anniversary, Mom & Dad!

Image
It’s my Mom and Dad’s 49th Anniversary- can you believe it?! I don’t feel that old to have Parents that have almost been married for 50 years! That is for older people, right? My Dad is up in Heaven, looking down upon us (Hi, Dad!) and I know he is thinking of my Mom and us every day.  The other day the kids at Church were practicing a song for Father’s Day and I teared up thinking of my sweet Dad and how much I really miss him. He’s been gone for almost 3 1/2 yrs. He missed Ethan and Jonah going on missions and coming back and Asher leaving. And a grandson being born. Yet, I know he is still right here with us. I sure love you. Dad! Happy Anniversary to our big little family!

Rosie graduates from Preschool!

Rosie graduated from Preschool last Friday. She was so excited and so cute! She kept asking if it was graduation day. They sang cute songs, had some fun snacks and ate together as a class one last time. She also got awarded the Friendliest Friend award. Her teacher said that she was always sure to be kind to everyone. That’s Rosie! Her teacher made a scrapbook with pictures throughout the year for each child. It probably took so many hours! Ms Nicole did amazing and she made some great friends in her class!  Thank you, Ms Nicole! Now on to Kindergarten!!! My baby is growing up!

Happy 21st Birthday, Ethan and Jonah!

This year both Ethan and Jonah are away from home for their birthday- it’s the third birthday they’ve been gone and probably another one again in the next few years. Jonah is hiking Angels Landing and Ethan is selling pest control in Indiana. Have a great birthday, boys, we love you!!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Image
I love Mother’s Day! I love celebrating the Mothers in my own life and celebrating the fast that I am a Mother. Yesterday Elizabeth came over to do her nails with me and then stayed and played with Rosie. Rosie loves Elizabeth!  Rosie has been having a hard time with nightmares for the last three months. She wakes up one to three times a night and it’s hard on her and on me. Sometimes she sleeps through the night. Last night she was up several times times and the last time she said “let me put my hands on your face”. She does this sometimes. She looks into my eyes lovingly and strokes my face. It is the sweetest things and my heart melts even though it’s 3 am in the morning. I love being a Mom and I love my job of being with these smaller- and bigger- people.
